When I originally approached Mike to become the features editor of my new magazine, he had only one condition: That he be allowed to write a weekly "gossip column" and have complete freedom to write whatever he wanted. Since Mike had originally worked in the celebrity press, it seemed like a reasonably cool thing to do, so of course I said yes. I had no idea of what was to come. As the column built momentum over the first few months, it quickly emerged as one of the most revolutionary things ever to hit the gay press. See for yourself.
